About Private Party

The Private Party DJ mix series began in 2012, when a megastar recording artist asked me to spin an intimate dance party at her New York City loft and record the mix, so that she could have a “private party” whenever she wanted.

With her permission, I re-posted the live performance to my SoundCloud account, and got so many plays they literally kicked me off the platform.

While my personal music tastes range from 90s hip-hop to Fleetwood Mac, the Private Party series became something quite different — an unabashedly pop mix combining all the hottest songs of the year with the throwback classics that we all like to dance to.

Private Party VI - Best of 2019 is my favorite mix yet. Recorded live at events across the world from a castle in Ireland to a cabana in Turks and Caicos, the vibes are pure fun, and the party is exactly as I would build it — starting off with eclectic beats, moving to pure pop, and ending with heavy club vibes.
